My Five Words

I just had aan interesting idea for a little experiment. Knowing me, I’ll forget all about it within the coming week, but I might as well try. Every night, before I go to bed, (by go to bed I mean fall asleep in my chair) I’ll write down 5 words that describe what happened during my day that had any kind of memory-provoking influence.  Then, every month, if I manage to make it that far, I’ll go back and see if I can remember my days based on these 5 key words.

Having pretty severe memory lapses myself, I find this kind of exorcise might, MIGHT be helpful in improving my awareness and strengthen my memory a little bit. We’ll see!  I think I’ll post my five words a day here, it’ll also give me an excuse to blog more.

Five words for the day:

  1. Phantasy (misspelled on purpose, by the way)
  2. Sick
  3. Suboxone
  4. Lobotomy
  5. Documentaries

McCain’s New Eye Candy

Governor Sarah Palin is the attractive new running mate of the “Maverick” senator, John McCain. I was recently informed of this by my mother, who, after doing some interweb research, decided that not only did she think McCain was making a mistake, but that the man must have found the only patch of black ice in America, slipped, and bumped his head. Badly. Well, after doing some of my own research, and after her acceptance speech which everyone seemed to adore, I decided that maybe my mother was right. Maybe this was a bad idea.

Since then, I’ve been reading all kinds of commentary on her, both positive and otherwise. This, however, seemed to hit me the hardest. Now, I don’t know for sure how credible this woman is, or even if the web page this was posted on is a trusted source, but I do know one thing. Sarah Palin, before all the overnight fame, immediately deleted (or had someone else delete) large chunks from her Wikipedia entry. Who knows, but if this is true, then…

This is a historical election on many different levels. If you aren’t paying any attention to it, I would suggest you begin, because this is going to be an interesting season.
